On Wednesday Irene, Rosemary & Daryl returned to Pinkerton Link to water the trees again. Summer rainfall has been meagre. Despite the dry and dusty soil, and being grazed by sheep, the tiny trees are still growing. Small green shoots were visible on most of the seedlings.
As we left red dust clouds were appearing on the southwest horizon. Luckily we had time to leave before the fast moving dust storm hit, blanketing the landscape of Surbiton Park and Melton in a choking red cloud of dust.
