Walk on the Wildside - 31st August

Walk through the Werribee River volcanic gorge and view the landcare restoration works

Sunday 31st August 9.30am - 3pm

A walk through the beautiful and rarely accessed Werribee River volcanic gorge where recent landcare restoration works can be viewed along the route, as well as bluestone heritage ruins. Another feature is  Moloneys Water Reserve.
 
The route comprises of approximately 7 km of medium difficulty walking, sometimes on steep slopes, firm shoes are necessary. BYO lunch and refreshments.


 
Meet at the entrance gate on Mt. Cottrell Road, Melway Map 221 H 7 at 9.00am, there is a green Land for Wildlife sign on this gate which is located beside a stone wall and house on the western side of Mt. Cottrell Road. There will  a car shuffle arranged prior to the walk which commences at 9.30am.
 
This walk is being held in association with Werribee Bushwalking and Outdoor Club.
 
Everyone is welcome, the limit for this walk is 20 people.
